    Description of Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze

    Estate

Joseph Drouhin is a renowned house known for its expertise in crafting exceptional Burgundy wines. Founded in 1880, it combines tradition with modern winemaking techniques to produce wines of great finesse and expression.

    Vineyard

The vineyard is located in the Côte de Nuits, at the heart of the prestigious Gevrey-Chambertin commune. This Grand Cru appellation is famous for its clay-limestone soils providing ideal conditions for Pinot Noir.

    Wine

This Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru is a red wine made from Pinot Noir, expressing the richness and complexity characteristic of this exceptional terroir. It embodies power while maintaining remarkable elegance.

    Vintage

The 2018 vintage was marked by favorable climatic conditions, offering a harmonious balance between ripeness and freshness. That year, wines benefited from good concentration with a refined structure.

    Vinification & Aging

Traditional vinification in stainless steel and oak vats allows controlled extraction of tannins. Aging in oak barrels for about 18 months refines the aromas and provides a beautiful structure.

    Grape Variety

    100% Pinot Noir
