A Passionate Journey Toward Excellence

Without a family winemaking background, David Moret carved a unique path in the wine industry. After studying viticulture and oenology, he began his career selling winemaking equipment to Burgundian vintners. This experience allowed him to forge close relationships with top producers in the Côte de Beaune. In 1999, driven by passion, he acquired his first barrels and started vinifying small, carefully selected parcels of grapes, laying the foundation for his own estate.

A Philosophy Centered on Terroir

Estate David Moret stands out for its meticulous winemaking approach, emphasizing purity and terroir expression. Collaborating closely with partner growers, David selects grapes from esteemed parcels, notably in Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and Rully. Each harvest is conducted manually, ensuring optimal fruit quality that faithfully reflects the soils and climate of Burgundy.

Carefully Aged Wines

In the cellar, grapes are gently pressed before undergoing fermentation and aging in French oak barrels for nine to twelve months. David Moret favors moderate use of new oak, allowing the wine's intrinsic characteristics to shine without being overshadowed by wood. This method results in white wines of great finesse, combining aromatic richness and balance, true to their origin.

Limited Production for Exceptional Wines

With an annual production of approximately 7,000 bottles, Estate David Moret focuses primarily on the prestigious appellations of Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and Rully. This limited output reflects a commitment to quality over quantity, with each bottle showcasing artisanal expertise and passion. Enthusiasts of fine white Burgundy wines particularly appreciate the precision and elegance of David Moret's cuvées.

International Recognition and Presence

Through relentless pursuit of perfection and meticulous attention to detail, Estate David Moret's wines have captivated connoisseurs worldwide. Featured on esteemed tables and in the cellars of discerning collectors, they embody the excellence and tradition of fine white Burgundy wines, bearing the unique signature of a passionate and dedicated winemaker.
