A Family History Since 1880
Established in 1880 by Joseph Drouhin in Beaune, the Joseph Drouhin Estate embodies a family passion for wine spanning over four generations. From the outset, Joseph Drouhin emphasized quality and respect for terroir, values that continue to guide the estate today. Over the decades, the Drouhin family has expanded their vineyards and solidified their reputation as a cornerstone of Burgundy winemaking.
An Extensive and Diverse Vineyard
With 80 hectares of vineyards across prestigious appellations in Chablis, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, and Côte Chalonnaise, Joseph Drouhin Estate stands as one of Burgundy's largest landholders. Each plot is meticulously cultivated, showcasing the diversity and richness of Burgundy's terroirs. This mosaic of vineyards enables the estate to offer a varied range of wines, each expressing the unique character of its origin.

A pioneer in sustainable viticulture, Joseph Drouhin Estate has embraced organic and biodynamic practices since the late 1980s. This commitment to the environment was recognized with organic certification for all vineyards in 2009. International Expansion: Domaine Drouhin Oregon
In 1988, the Drouhin family extended their expertise across the Atlantic by establishing Domaine Drouhin Oregon in the Willamette Valley. This 235-acre estate, with 113 acres planted in Pinot Noir and 11 in Chardonnay, benefits from an ideal climate for these varietals. Under the guidance of Véronique Drouhin-Boss, the estate produces wines renowned for their elegance and finesse, exemplifying the harmonious blend of Burgundy tradition and Oregonian terroir.
