A Family History Since the 17th Century

Located in Meursault, Domaine Ballot-Millot is a family-run estate with roots dating back to 1630. Over sixteen generations have succeeded one another, passing down their passion and expertise in viticulture and winemaking. Today, Charles Ballot continues this tradition with dynamism and respect for the values inherited from his ancestors.

Prestigious Terroirs in Côte de Beaune

The estate spans 10 hectares, 7 of which are dedicated to the renowned appellations of Meursault. Notable parcels include Premier Crus such as "Les Perrières," "Les Genevrières," and "Les Charmes." This diversity of terroirs allows Domaine Ballot-Millot to offer a range of wines that reflect the richness and complexity of the Côte de Beaune soils.

Natural and Sustainable Viticulture

Since taking over in 2001, Charles Ballot has steered the estate toward more natural farming practices. By reducing yields and avoiding chemical treatments, he promotes the pure expression of the terroir in each cuvée. Manual harvesting and meticulous grape selection ensure the optimal quality of the wines produced.

Wines Merging Tradition and Modernity

Winemaking at Domaine Ballot-Millot honors traditional methods while incorporating modern techniques to enhance each vintage. Fermentations occur with indigenous yeasts, and aging takes place in French oak barrels, with a moderate proportion of new wood to preserve balance and finesse in the aromas. The wines are distinguished by their tension, precision, and ability to express the identity of each parcel.

International Recognition

Domaine Ballot-Millot's wines are appreciated by enthusiasts and critics worldwide for their exceptional quality and authenticity. Each bottle reflects the family's commitment to producing wines that embody the essence of Meursault's terroirs, combining ancestral heritage with a constant pursuit of excellence.
