Description of Bourgogne Chardonnay "Jeanne La Folle"

    Estate

The Maison Cellier des Dames estate is recognized in Burgundy for its expertise, producing wines that truly express Burgundy’s terroir. The estate emphasizes careful vinification to highlight the purity and elegance of the Chardonnay grape.

    Vineyard

This wine comes from the Burgundy wine region, one of France’s most prestigious appellations, renowned for its mostly Chardonnay-based white wines. The temperate climate and limestone soils give the wine a beautiful minerality and finesse.

    Wine

The 2020 Bourgogne blanc from Maison Cellier des Dames is a dry white wine, balanced and fresh, perfectly illustrating the classic Burgundy style. It features a fresh aromatic profile and a harmonious structure.

    Vintage

The 2020 vintage, marked by favorable climatic conditions, allowed excellent grape ripeness. This vintage reveals a wine with a good balance of acidity and aromatic richness.

    Vinification & Aging

The vinification is traditional, carried out in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and fruity aromas of Chardonnay. The aging is also in tanks, avoiding excessive oak influence in order to maintain the fruit purity and liveliness of the wine.
