Description of Laherte Frères Blanc de Blancs Les Grandes Crayères

    Estate

Champagne Laherte Frères is a renowned house known for its artisanal expertise and commitment to sustainable viticulture. It stands among the great winemakers of Champagne, combining traditional rigor and creativity.

    Vineyard

Located in the Vallée de la Marne, the vineyard benefits from a clay-limestone terroir that imparts finesse and elegance to the grapes. The temperate climate and meticulous vineyard work ensure optimal Chardonnay ripeness.

    Wine

This Blanc de Blancs is a single-variety Chardonnay champagne offering purity and freshness. With an Extra Brut dosage, it reveals a sharp and precise style, highlighting the region’s minerality.

    Vintage

The 2021 vintage was marked by challenging climatic conditions that favored healthy harvests and complementary aromatic profiles. This champagne thus expresses good complexity despite its youth.

    Vinification and Aging

Vinification is carefully conducted, favoring indigenous yeasts and aging in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatic purity. The low dosage emphasizes liveliness and terroir expression.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the advantage of choosing an extra brut champagne like the Laherte Frères Blanc de Blancs Les Grandes Crayères compared to a traditional brut champagne?

An extra brut champagne, like this one, offers a livelier and more mineral expression, highlighting the purity of Chardonnay. This may suit those who prefer a less sweet experience that focuses more on the natural aromas of the terroir.

For a celebration, should I opt for this champagne or another product from the Laherte Frères range?

The choice depends on your personal preferences. This Blanc de Blancs is ideal for those who appreciate finesse and complexity, while other champagnes in the same range may offer different profiles suited to various tastes.

Does this champagne pair better with seafood dishes or white meats?

This champagne is particularly suited to seafood, thanks to its freshness and minerality. However, it can also accompany delicate white meats, but the pairing with seafood is often more harmonious.

Why choose this 2021 vintage in particular rather than another available in the Champagne category?

The 2021 vintage stands out due to challenging climatic conditions that favored a beautiful aromatic complexity. If you are looking for a champagne that expresses vibrant youth with aging potential, this vintage is particularly interesting.

How can I know if I will enjoy this champagne without having tasted it beforehand?

Consider your preferences for lively and mineral champagnes. If you enjoy fresh fruit aromas and an elegant texture, this Blanc de Blancs might suit you. Comments and ratings from other enthusiasts can also guide your choice.
