A Family Heritage Deeply Rooted in Champagne

Maison Taittinger is one of the few remaining Champagne houses still run by its founding family. Its history began in 1932 when Pierre Taittinger acquired the Château de la Marquetterie, a historic estate surrounded by vineyards. Since then, generation after generation, the Taittinger family has preserved and refined its unique expertise, establishing the house as a benchmark for prestigious Champagne.

An Exceptional Vineyard

With 288 hectares of vineyards spread across 34 crus, Maison Taittinger has access to some of the finest terroirs in Champagne. This remarkable viticultural heritage allows for the creation of elegant and refined Champagnes, with Chardonnay playing a central role. Representing nearly 50% of the estate’s plantings, Chardonnay brings an unparalleled freshness and finesse to Taittinger’s cuvées.

Iconic and Timeless Cuvées

Among the house’s most prestigious creations, Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs stands as a masterpiece, crafted exclusively from Grand Cru Chardonnay of the Côte des Blancs. This exceptional cuvée captivates with its crystalline purity and remarkable length. The Brut Réserve, Taittinger’s signature champagne, embodies balance and refinement, seamlessly blending freshness with aromatic complexity.

A Modern Vision and International Influence

While deeply committed to its Champagne roots, Taittinger continuously innovates and explores new horizons. In 2015, it became the first Champagne house to plant vineyards in England, in the Kent region, through the Domaine Evremond project. This pioneering endeavor highlights Taittinger’s ability to merge tradition with modernity, pushing the boundaries of Champagne-making.

A Legacy Preserved by the Family

Now led by Vitalie Taittinger, the house continues its journey, maintaining exceptional quality standards and committing to sustainable viticulture. Every cuvée produced by Taittinger reflects ancestral expertise combined with a contemporary vision, solidifying its status as a timeless symbol of Champagne excellence and elegance.
