Description of Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Petits Monts

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Which bottle should I pair with the 2024 for a tasting of several vintages of Les Petits Monts?

The Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Petits Monts 2023 from the same estate is the most direct comparison: the cuvée is the same; only the vintage changes. However, no tasting notes are available to indicate differences in style or development.

How should I position Les Petits Monts in a selection that includes “Harmonie” and Les Barreaux?

Les Petits Monts is explicitly designated Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru, unlike the “Harmonie” and Les Barreaux labels presented here. This provides a classification reference when putting together your selection, but does not describe their differences in taste.

What occasion would be suitable for this bottle without assuming it pairs with a particular dish?

A tasting focused on Vosne-Romanée wines would be a fitting occasion. This bottle represents a Premier Cru from the commune, made from Pinot Noir, without assigning it an undocumented aromatic profile.

Which other wines from the estate should I choose to expand the tasting beyond Vosne-Romanée?

Meursault Les Grands Charrons or Ladoix Buisson 2023 offer a chance to discover other appellations from AS - Arnaud & Sophie. These wines are a good way to explore the range; the available information does not make it possible to predict how they will differ on the palate.

Do Les Barreaux 2023 or 2021 allow for a direct comparison with Les Petits Monts 2024?

They can enrich a tasting, but both the cuvée and the vintage change at the same time. To compare vintages with fewer variables, choose Les Petits Monts 2023; to explore several of the estate’s cuvées, Les Barreaux offers another point of comparison.
