What should I choose between this Genevrières and Michelot's Meursault Blanc?

Appearance: Light yellow with subtle golden highlights.
Nose: Expressive aromas of white flowers, citrus, and discreet toasted notes.
Palate: Generous palate with a balance of mineral freshness and roundness, finishing with saline and lingering notes.

Genevrières offers the chance to discover a Meursault bearing the Premier Cru designation, which is absent from the Meursault Blanc featured in the catalogue. Choose it if you are specifically interested in this classification; the information provided does not allow us to compare their aromas or texture.

Why choose this wine rather than the same estate's Bourgogne Côte d'Or Chardonnay?

To explore a more precisely defined origin: Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières rather than Bourgogne Côte d'Or. This choice meets a preference for a particular appellation, but on its own does not allow us to anticipate the wine's style or your tasting preference.

What occasion would be suited to opening this bottle?

A tasting dedicated to the different appellations of the Michelot estate would be particularly fitting. Bringing together this Genevrières, the Meursault Blanc and the Bourgogne Côte d'Or Chardonnay allows you to compare the wines, rather than infer their differences from their classifications alone.

When discovering Meursault Premier Crus, should I pay attention to the name Genevrières?

Yes: when comparing several Premier Crus, look beyond the "Meursault 1er Cru" designation alone and also note the name Genevrières. This will allow you to identify this bottle precisely during your tasting and in your notes.

How can I organize a comparison with another vintage without mixing up all the criteria?

Look for the same Michelot Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières from another vintage: this way, the estate and the wine's designation remain the same. As no comparative notes are provided, it would be premature to attribute greater freshness, richness or ageing potential to the 2024.
