A Reimagined Family Tradition
The Maison Francis Boulard & Fille has its roots in a family history spanning several generations of Champagne winemakers. In 2009, Francis Boulard, along with his daughter Delphine, decided to establish their own estate, focusing on environmentally friendly viticulture and traditional practices. This initiative followed their commitment to organic and biodynamic methods, which began in the early 2000s.
Commitment to Biodynamics
Convinced of the benefits of agriculture in harmony with nature, the estate undertook a complete conversion to biodynamics. This approach aims to enhance the vitality of the soil and vines, thereby allowing each cuvée to purely express its terroir. Biodynamic practices include the use of natural preparations and adherence to lunar cycles for vineyard work.
An Exceptional Terroir
The estate's vineyard spans approximately 3 hectares, primarily located in the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne. The parcels, certified organic since 2015, are planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier. Each grape variety is cultivated to fully express the unique characteristics of its native terroir.
Signature Cuvées
Among the estate's flagship champagnes, the “Les Murgiers” cuvée stands out with its Pinot Meunier-dominated blend, offering rich aromas of dried fruits and citrus blossoms. The “Blanc de Blancs Les Vieilles Vignes”, crafted from old-vine Chardonnay, captivates with its minerality and freshness. These cuvées reflect the Boulard family's commitment to producing authentic and expressive wines.
International Recognition
Through their visionary approach and consistent quality, Francis and Delphine Boulard have won the hearts of wine enthusiasts worldwide. Their cuvées are regularly praised by critics for their purity, aromatic complexity, and faithful representation of the Champagne terroir.
