In 2018, Burgundian winemaker David Duband launched Les Terres de Philéandre, a project driven by his passion for exploring new appellations and innovative winemaking techniques. Named in honor of his children, Philomène and Léandre, this venture allows him to work with carefully selected grapes, offering a fresh perspective on Burgundy's terroirs.
Meticulous Grape Selection
Les Terres de Philéandre is based on a rigorous selection of grapes sourced from growers who share the same commitment to terroir and environmental respect. Each harvest is carried out by hand to ensure optimal quality before vinification in David Duband’s cellar. This meticulous approach results in wines of remarkable precision, true to the essence of Burgundy.
A Wine Range Reflecting the Diversity of Burgundy
The wines of Les Terres de Philéandre are crafted from parcels located in some of Burgundy’s most renowned appellations. The range includes a lively and mineral Bourgogne Aligoté, a supple and fruit-forward Pinot Noir "Le Rouge" labeled as Vin de France, as well as more structured cuvées from Fixin, Marsannay, and Savigny-lès-Beaune. Each wine authentically expresses its terroir of origin.
Innovative Winemaking Expertise
In the cellar, David Duband applies modern techniques while respecting Burgundian tradition. The use of whole clusters during fermentation enhances structure and complexity in the red wines, while aging in oak barrels and concrete eggs allows for a pure and natural expression of the wine. The goal is to fully reveal the essence of the terroir, without artifice.
