A Family Heritage and Passion for Terroir

Founded in 1951, Domaine Perraud is located in La Roche-Vineuse, at the heart of the Mâconnais in Burgundy. Jean-Christophe Perraud, representing the fourth generation of winemakers, continues the family tradition with a dedicated team of six. Together, they cultivate approximately 12 hectares of vines, primarily planted with Chardonnay, on slopes benefiting from exceptional terroir.

Certified Organic Viticulture

Committed to environmentally friendly practices, Domaine Perraud is certified organic. The vines, aged between 30 and 50 years, are cultivated without pesticides or herbicides, promoting biodiversity and soil health. Harvesting is done manually, ensuring a rigorous selection of grapes for optimal quality.

Cuvées Showcasing the Richness of the Mâconnais

The estate offers two distinct ranges:

  • Les Blasons: This range reflects true Burgundian tradition, with authentic wines crafted using traditional methods, offering an experience faithful to the terroir.
  • Collection: A modern approach to Burgundy, where each wine is vinified specifically to best express the characteristics of its origin terroir.

Among the appellations produced are Mâcon-Villages Vieilles Vignes, Saint-Véran, and Pouilly-Fuissé, each expressing the typicity and aromatic richness of the Mâconnais.

Winemaking Combining Tradition and Innovation

In the cellar, grapes are whole-cluster pressed, and fermentations are conducted with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. A limited percentage of aging occurs in older French oak barrels, adding complexity and structure to the wines without overpowering the fruity aromas. The wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving their purity and natural expression.

International Recognition and Ongoing Commitment

Domaine Perraud's wines are regularly praised for their quality and authenticity, captivating wine enthusiasts in France and abroad. Jean-Christophe Perraud and his team's commitment to sustainable viticulture and meticulous winemaking ensures the production of wines that faithfully reflect the unique character of the Mâconnais.
