Discover the richness of Burgundy wines: deep reds and mineral whites

The world of Burgundy wines is characterized by exceptional diversity, offering intense reds, often suitable for aging, and elegant, aromatic whites, recognized among the world's greatest crus.

Spread over a 300 km strip from the Yonne to the Rhône, the Burgundy appellation covers almost 3,000 hectares of vineyards. Two-thirds of this area is devoted to red wines, mainly made from Pinot Noir. These rich, deeply vinous reds reveal complex aromas of red and black fruits, violets, licorice and pepper. Over time, their tannins soften to offer a velvety texture, and their notes evolve towards undergrowth, candied fruit and animal nuances. Some reds, fruity and elegant, are best enjoyed young, while others, full-bodied and powerful, reach their peak after a few years' cellaring. The remaining third is dedicated to white wines, made mainly from Chardonnay, Burgundy's emblematic grape variety. These wines offer a floral, vegetal bouquet of white flowers, lemongrass, almonds and hazelnuts, sometimes enhanced by hints of sweet spices and butter. Their perfect balance of liveliness and roundness, enhanced by a characteristic minerality, makes for wines of great generosity. Planted on a variety of soils - limestone, clay or marl - the vines of Burgundy give birth to authentic crus, reflecting the richness and diversity of their terroir. Each bottle tells the story of this unique region, the cradle of the art of wine.
