A family legacy since 1946
Founded in 1946 by Henri Jacqueson, Domaine Paul et Marie Jacqueson is located in Rully, at the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise in Burgundy. Since its inception, the estate has remained a family-run business, with Paul Jacqueson taking over in 1972, followed by his daughter Marie in 2006, and more recently his son Pierre. This generational continuity reflects a deep commitment to quality viticulture and respect for the Burgundian terroir.
An exceptional vineyard
The estate spans 18 hectares of ideally situated vines, some of which are very old. The plots are primarily planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the region's emblematic grape varieties. Yields are intentionally limited to around 35 hl/ha through rigorous pruning, ensuring optimal concentration of aromas and a faithful expression of the terroir.
Environmentally conscious viticultural practices
Aware of the importance of preserving the ecosystem, the Jacqueson family emphasizes manual labor in the vineyards and minimizes phytosanitary treatments. All harvesting is done by hand—a rare practice in the region—ensuring meticulous selection of grape clusters and impeccable quality of the harvested fruit.
Precise winemaking for elegant wines
In the cellar, the family's expertise is evident through controlled vinification and judicious use of new oak (approximately 20% for whites and 25% for reds). This approach allows for the production of ripe, intense, and sensual wines that perfectly reflect the unique character of each plot. The estate's cuvées, whether white or red Rully, are renowned for their balance, finesse, and aging potential.
International acclaim
Wines from Domaine Paul et Marie Jacqueson feature on the wine lists of numerous Michelin-starred restaurants in France and abroad. This recognition underscores the estate's consistent excellence and its significant role in promoting the appellations of the Côte Chalonnaise. Wine enthusiasts worldwide appreciate the quality and authenticity of the offered cuvées, making the estate a benchmark in Burgundy.
