A Family Legacy in the Heart of Burgundy
Established in 1999, Domaine de la Vougeraie is the culmination of the Boisset family's passion for Burgundy's terroirs. Located between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, the estate encompasses a mosaic of prestigious parcels acquired over decades, reflecting the richness and diversity of the region's vineyards.
A Deep Commitment to Biodynamics
From its inception, Domaine de la Vougeraie embraced biodynamic principles, with organic certification, to cultivate its 37 hectares of vines across 29 appellations. This approach aims to enhance soil vitality and biodiversity, utilizing natural preparations and adhering to the lunar calendar, to produce grapes that fully express their terroir.
Wines that Reveal Terroir
The estate crafts a diverse range of wines, from regional appellations to Grand Crus, including emblematic monopoles such as:
- Le Clos Blanc de Vougeot: A unique Premier Cru in Burgundy, exclusively owned by the estate, producing a white wine of great complexity and minerality.
- Le Clos du Prieuré: Another monopole located in Vougeot, offering red and white wines that reflect the elegance and finesse of their terroir.
Respectful and Precise Winemaking
In the cellar, Domaine de la Vougeraie employs gentle and natural vinification methods. Fermentations are conducted with indigenous yeasts, and aging occurs in oak barrels, with a proportion of new wood tailored to each cuvée, preserving the balance and purity of the fruit.
International Recognition
Through its commitment to quality and environmental respect, Domaine de la Vougeraie is recognized as one of Burgundy's most prestigious producers. Its wines are cherished by enthusiasts and critics worldwide for their elegance, depth, and ability to convey the soul of Burgundy's terroirs.
