Description of Etna Rosé DOC "Vinudilice"

    Estate

The I Vigneri estate, located in Sicily, is known for its commitment to quality and expression of local terroirs. The estate combines traditional methods with modern techniques to best showcase the richness of its vineyards.

    Vineyard

The vineyard is situated on the slopes of Mount Etna DOC, a unique volcanic terroir in Sicily that imparts minerality and freshness to the wines. The volcanic soils and Mediterranean climate contribute to developing aromatic complexity and elegant structure.

    Wine

This 2021 Etna DOC rosé is an original blend of Alicante, Grecanico, and Minnella grape varieties. It delivers a fresh and aromatic profile, characteristic of rosé wines from Etna's volcanic soils, with lively acidity on the palate.

    Vintage

The 2021 vintage featured favorable climatic conditions in Sicily, allowing for balanced ripening. The harvest was conducted at optimal maturity, ensuring a harmony between fruitiness and acidity.

    Vinification & Aging

The rosé vinification involves a short maceration at controlled temperature to delicately extract aromas and color. Aging is carried out in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatic purity.

    Grape Variety

    Alicante - Grecanico - Minnella

    Characteristics & Tasting

    Tasting

    • Appearance: Pale pink color with bright reflections indicating the wine’s freshness.
    • Nose: Delicate aromas of red berries such as strawberry and raspberry, complemented by floral notes and a subtle mineral hint.
    • Palate: Lively and fresh attack balanced by pleasant roundness, with a persistent finish featuring fruity and lightly spicy flavors.

    Serving

Serve chilled between 10 and 12°C. A light decanting can be considered if the wine is served too cold to enhance the aromatic expression.

    Food Pairings

This rosé pairs well with refined Mediterranean dishes including herb-marinated octopus salad, grilled red mullet fillets with sauce vierge, Sicilian stuffed tomatoes, and a platter of fine Sicilian charcuterie.

    Occasions

Ideal for a spring family lunch, a summer meal with friends, or a convivial aperitif on a sunny terrace.

    Aging Potential

The wine can be enjoyed now but will develop greater aromatic complexity over the next 3 to 5 years if stored properly.
