Graham's Single Harvest 1940
A pioneering house since the 19th century
Founded in 1820 by the Graham brothers, Graham’s is one of the oldest and most prestigious Port houses. Of Scottish origin but deeply rooted in Portugal, the family has built a legacy blending British tradition with the Douro’s unique terroir. For over two centuries, Graham’s has embodied a commitment to aged Port wines made with care and expertise.
Exceptional vineyards in the Douro Valley
Graham’s owns several quintas in the upper Douro Valley, including the renowned Quinta dos Malvedos. These terraced vineyards, planted in schist soils and sun-drenched hillsides, produce concentrated and balanced grapes. The house controls every step of the process, from vine cultivation to final bottling, with an uncompromising approach to quality.
Rich, complex, and layered Ports
Graham’s wines are known for their depth, velvety texture, and generous aromas of dark fruit, warm spice, cocoa, and dried fruit. Their range includes Vintage Ports, Tawny Ports aged 10, 20, 30, or 40 years, and refined Late Bottled Vintage Ports. The Graham’s Vintage Port, declared only in exceptional years, is among the most prestigious long-aging Ports in the world.
A tradition of aging and patience
In the historic cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia, Graham’s Ports mature slowly in oak casks or in bottles, under carefully controlled conditions. This long aging brings finesse, smoothness, and aromatic complexity. Blends are assembled with precision by expert cellar masters, preserving the house’s signature style.
A global reference in Port wine
Distributed in over 80 countries, Graham’s has become one of the most respected and awarded Port houses in the world. Its deep heritage, unwavering focus on quality, and mastery of long-aging Port wines make it an essential name for all fine wine lovers.
