A Rising Estate Driven by Passion
Zeroine is a winemaking project founded by Maylis Bernard in Jura, a region renowned for its exceptional wines. After gaining extensive experience alongside Jean-François Ganevat, a leading figure in natural wine, Maylis decided to forge her own path. Her goal is clear: to produce wines of remarkable purity, without additives, that truly reflect the richness of Jura’s terroirs.
A Preserved and Expressive Terroir
Located in southern Jura, Zeroine’s vineyards thrive on marl and limestone soils, ideal for native grape varieties such as Savagnin, Chardonnay, Poulsard, and Trousseau. The region’s continental climate promotes slow, balanced ripening, enhancing the wines’ bright minerality and aromatic complexity. The estate embraces a natural viticultural approach, maintaining a deep respect for soil health and biodiversity.
Pure and Uncompromising Winemaking
At Zeroine, every step of the winemaking process is designed to preserve fruit integrity and terroir expression. Fermentations occur with native yeasts, without added sulfur or enological products. Aging takes place in barrels, amphorae, or tanks, depending on the cuvée’s character. This non-interventionist approach allows the wines to develop exceptional purity, structure, and energy.
Distinctive and Expressive Cuvées
Zeroine’s wines reflect meticulous craftsmanship and artisanal expertise. The whites, made from Chardonnay and Savagnin, showcase bright minerality and complex aromas of citrus, white flowers, and dried fruits. The reds, primarily from Poulsard and Trousseau, captivate with their finesse, vibrant red berry notes, and refreshing acidity. Each cuvée tells a unique story, blending tradition with modernity.
Zeroine, a Rising Star in Jura’s Wine Scene
With its innovative and terroir-driven approach, Zeroine is emerging as a key player in Jura’s natural wine movement. Sought after for their sincerity and expressiveness, these wines appeal to natural wine enthusiasts and sommeliers looking for authenticity. Tasting a Zeroine wine is an invitation to explore a Jura that is vibrant, free, and deeply rooted in its terroir.
