A Reimagined Family Estate

Domaine La Borderie is a story of family heritage and modern vision. Founded by Jean-Louis and Odile Normand, it is now run by their children, Simon and Marie Normand, who bring a fresh and committed approach. Located in Bar-sur-Seine, in the heart of the Côte des Bar, the estate is renowned for its precise winemaking and deep respect for the terroir.

A Strong Environmental Commitment

For several years, the estate has embraced sustainable viticulture. Certified High Environmental Value and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne, it has eliminated herbicides and insecticides, encouraging biodiversity and soil life. In 2021, over 1,300 trees were planted on the estate to restore a balanced ecosystem.

Distinctive and Expressive Cuvées

Each cuvée from La Borderie tells a story and highlights the richness of its terroir:

  • Trois Contrées: A unique blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc, revealing floral elegance and aromatic complexity.
  • La Confluente 2014: A Blanc de Blancs with finesse and tension, marked by citrus notes and a saline finish.
  • Val Moré 2015: An Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs, deep and structured, from an exceptional terroir.
  • Douce Folie Rosé: A fruity rosé with notes of red berries and violets, made from old Pinot Noir vines.
  • De Quoi Te Mêles-tu?: A single-variety 100% Pinot Noir cuvée, showcasing pure terroir expression.

Meticulous Winemaking

Each plot is vinified separately to preserve its unique identity. Fermentations occur in stainless steel tanks to retain freshness, while some cuvées are aged in oak barrels for added complexity. Extended lees aging and minimal dosage allow the champagnes to express their finesse and character.

Rising International Recognition

Since releasing its first cuvées in 2017, La Borderie has established itself as a key player in Champagne. Featured in prestigious cellars and Michelin-starred restaurants, its champagnes captivate with their authenticity and precision.
