Established in 2013 by Édouard Labruyère, Labruyère-Prieur Sélection is the result of a collaboration between the Labruyère and Prieur families, two prominent names in Burgundy's wine landscape. This partnership aims to expand the array of terroirs at Domaine Jacques Prieur by offering cuvées from meticulously selected parcels, showcasing the diversity and richness of Burgundy's climates.
Exceptional Terroirs in the Heart of Burgundy
Labruyère-Prieur Sélection encompasses nearly 8 hectares of vineyards, acquired by the Labruyère family in 2018, located in the most esteemed climates of the Côte de Beaune. Prestigious appellations such as Santenay, Volnay, Pommard, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, and Pouilly-Fuissé make up this mosaic of terroirs. Each plot is carefully cultivated to fully express the unique character of its soil and microclimate.
Sustainable Viticulture and Precise Winemaking
Committed to sustainable viticulture, Labruyère-Prieur Sélection manages its vineyards through either sustainable agriculture or conversion to organic farming. Harvesting is done manually, with rigorous grape selection, and grapes are transported in small crates to preserve their integrity. Vinification takes place at the Meursault winery, under the guidance of the talented oenologist Nadine Gublin, who has been with Domaine Jacques Prieur since the 1990s. Her expertise ensures wines that faithfully reflect their original terroir.
Signature Cuvées Reflecting Burgundian Excellence
Among the standout wines of Labruyère-Prieur Sélection are Santenay Premier Cru "La Comme," Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru "Morgeot Rouge," and Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru. Produced in limited quantities, these cuvées result from meticulous work in the vineyard and cellar, offering wines of great finesse, complexity, and aging potential. Each bottle embodies the elegance and craftsmanship of Burgundy.
