A Rich and Renewed History
Founded in 1824, Seguin-Manuel Estate is nestled in the heart of Burgundy's Côte d'Or wine region. In 2004, Thibaut Marion, hailing from a family of winemakers spanning ten generations, took over the estate with the ambition to uphold tradition while infusing new energy. Under his leadership, the vineyard expanded to 8.5 hectares, including prestigious plots in Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault, and Vosne-Romanée.
Commitment to Organic Farming
Recognizing the importance of preserving the environment and the distinctiveness of the terroirs, Seguin-Manuel Estate adopts sustainable farming practices. Since 2012, the vineyard has been transitioning to organic farming, eliminating the use of synthetic chemicals. The soils are plowed to strengthen vine roots, and harvesting is done manually, ensuring a meticulous selection of grapes.
Authentic Wines Reflecting the Terroir
The estate's philosophy is to produce wines that faithfully express the unique character of each plot. Vinification involves minimal intervention, favoring indigenous yeasts and aging in French oak barrels, with the proportion of new wood adjusted according to each cuvée. This approach results in elegant, complex wines that truly represent their origin.
A Diverse Range of Prestigious Crus
Seguin-Manuel Estate offers a wide array of wines, from regional appellations to Grand Crus. Notable cuvées include Beaune 1er Cru "Clos des Mouches," Pommard "Petits Noizons," Meursault "Les Clous," as well as Grand Crus like Corton and Echezeaux. Each wine reflects artisanal expertise and a passion for excellence.
