From Polish Roots to Burgundy Vineyards

In 1938, Polish immigrant Georges Bryczek arrived in Burgundy with a dream: to cultivate vines. By 1950, he acquired his first parcels in Morey-Saint-Denis, laying the foundation for an estate that would span generations. Today, his grandson, Christophe Bryczek, continues this family passion, tending approximately 3 hectares of vineyards in prestigious appellations such as Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, and Gevrey-Chambertin.

Environmentally Friendly Viticulture

At Domaine Bryczek, environmental respect is paramount. The vines are pruned by hand, with no use of pesticides or herbicides. Harvesting is done manually, ensuring a meticulous selection of grapes at optimal ripeness. This ecological approach reflects a deep commitment to the land and its natural rhythms.

Traditional Vinification and Careful Aging

Vinification at the estate follows traditional methods. Fermentation lasts 10 to 12 days in concrete tanks using indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature of 32-33°C. Remontage is performed to promote optimal extraction of aromas. The wines are then aged for 18 months in oak barrels: the first 6 months in new barrels, followed by older barrels. No filtration is applied to preserve the wines' aromatic integrity.

Signature Cuvées Reflecting the Terroir

Among the estate's flagship wines, Morey-Saint-Denis "Clos Solon" stands out with its black fruit aromas and pronounced minerality. Gevrey-Chambertin "Aux Echezeaux" offers notes of black cherry, spices, and tobacco, with a palate that is both powerful and refined. The Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru "Cuvée du Pape Jean-Paul II," from vines planted in 1920, captivates with its pronounced structure and spicy black fruit bouquet.

International Acclaim

Despite its small size, Domaine Christophe Bryczek enjoys an excellent reputation for its outstanding red wines. Critics unanimously praise the quality of the cuvées, which faithfully reflect the unique character of the Côte de Nuits. Enthusiasts of authentic wines will find in these bottles the pure expression of family expertise and an exceptional terroir.
