A Family Tradition Since the 19th Century
Domaine Antoine Jobard has been established in Meursault since the mid-19th century, upholding a family winemaking tradition spanning five generations. Antoine Jobard joined his father François in 2002 and took full leadership of the domaine in 2007, bringing his vision while honoring the family heritage.
A Prestigious Vineyard in the Heart of Burgundy
The estate covers approximately 4.8 hectares, primarily located in the commune of Meursault. It includes renowned parcels such as Meursault Premier Cru Blagny, Les Charmes, Les Genevrières, and Les Poruzots, as well as village appellations like Meursault En la Barre and Les Tillets. This diversity of terroirs allows for the production of wines that faithfully reflect the unique characteristics of each plot.
A Respectful and Traditional Viticultural Approach
Antoine Jobard places paramount importance on vineyard work, believing that wine quality begins in the vineyard. Cultivation practices are environmentally friendly, with minimal use of chemicals and careful soil management. Harvesting is done manually to preserve the integrity of the grapes.
Winemaking Combining Tradition and Precision
Winemaking at the domaine follows traditional methods, with fermentation in oak barrels, only 20% of which are new, to avoid overpowering the wine's character. The wines are aged on fine lees for an extended period of 20 to 23 months, imparting complexity and aging potential. This meticulous approach results in elegant, mineral-driven wines with great depth.
International Recognition for Exceptional Wines
Domaine Antoine Jobard's wines are renowned for their ability to age gracefully, developing complex aromas and a refined texture over time. This reputation for excellence attracts wine enthusiasts worldwide, making the estate a benchmark for those passionate about Meursault and the great wines of Burgundy.
