Description of Etna Blanc DOC "Palmento Caselle"

    Estate

I Vigneri is a Sicilian estate known for its respectful approach to nature and commitment to showcasing indigenous Sicilian grape varieties. The estate combines tradition and modernity to create wines that truly express the unique terroir of the Etna region.

    Vineyard

The vineyard is situated on the slopes of Mount Etna, an iconic active volcano in Sicily. The volcanic soils rich in minerals give the grapes a distinctive character and remarkable freshness. The Mediterranean climate, tempered by altitude, is ideal for growing the Carricante grape variety.

    Wine

The Etna DOC I Vigneri 2019 is a white wine made exclusively from the Carricante grape, emblematic of the region. It stands out for its aromatic purity, vibrant freshness, and pronounced mineral expression, reflecting the exceptional volcanic terroir.

    Vintage

The 2019 vintage enjoyed favorable climatic conditions, with a warm summer moderated by cool nights. This allowed an interesting balance between ripeness and freshness, resulting in a wine that is both powerful and elegant.

    Vinification & Aging

Vinification is carefully managed to preserve the freshness and typicity of the Carricante grape. Aging takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to maintain fruity aromas and liveliness, without the use of oak that might mask the wine’s subtleties.
