A historic estate by the sea
The Trois Rivières plantation was founded in the 17th century in southern Martinique, facing the Atlantic Ocean. This coastal site, swept by trade winds, offers a distinctive terroir for sugarcane cultivation. The name “Trois Rivières” refers to the three rivers that cross the estate: Oman, Bois d’Inde, and Saint-Pierre.
Agricole rum from fresh sugarcane juice
Trois Rivières rums are made from freshly pressed sugarcane juice, in accordance with the strict requirements of the Martinique AOC. This traditional method preserves the full aromatic character of the cane. Fermentation is short, followed by distillation in a Creole column still, yielding a structured, vibrant style that defines the house.
A marine, dry, and assertive style
The estate’s white rums, such as Cuvée de l’Océan, are known for their salinity, freshness, and intensity. Aged rums, matured in French or ex-bourbon oak barrels, develop spicy, woody, and fruity notes while retaining the dry, tense backbone that is the hallmark of Trois Rivières.
Exceptional and collectible cuvées
Trois Rivières offers a wide range of limited and vintage releases, prized for their depth and elegance. The triple vintage blends, single cask bottlings, and unique barrel finishes showcase the estate’s creativity and mastery. Each expression reveals a different facet of Martinique’s terroir and rum tradition.
An icon of AOC agricole rum
Trois Rivières stands today as one of the leading ambassadors of Martinique’s agricole rum. Its distinctive character, production rigor, and deep connection to the AOC make it a benchmark for rum connoisseurs seeking authenticity, power, and precision. A true expression of its origin and identity.
