    Description of Hermitage

    Estate

Domaine Yann Chave is a benchmark estate in Hermitage, practicing organic viticulture in the Northern Rhône Valley. The family estate focuses on respecting the terroir to express the purity and power of Syrah in this prestigious appellation.

    Vineyard

The Hermitage vineyard is planted on granite slopes that provide a unique minerality and remarkable aromatic complexity. The vines benefit from a favorable microclimate with south-southeast exposure, ideal for optimal grape ripening.

    Wine

This wine is distinguished by its elegant and structured expression, revealing the power of the Hermitage terroir. Domaine Yann Chave produces precise and well-balanced wines that reflect the typicity of Syrah and the richness of the 2019 vintage.

    Vintage

The 2019 vintage was marked by warm and dry climatic conditions that enabled great concentration of the grapes. This context delivers intense aromas and a firm tannic structure. Robert Parker awarded this vintage a score of 93, emphasizing its quality and longevity.

    Vinification and Aging

Vinification is done respecting the fruit and the terroir's typicity with long fermentations in stainless steel and wood vats. Aging in oak barrels for several months refines the tannins and brings spicy and vanilla notes, perfectly balancing the wine’s power.
