Description of Macvin du Jura Blanc

Estate

Macvin du Jura is produced by Domaine Frédéric Lambert, known for its expertise in Jura wines, a region famous for oxidative white wines and unique specialties.

Vineyard

The vineyard is located in the Jura region in eastern France, characterized by limestone soils and a continental climate favorable to slow grape maturation.

Wine

This Macvin is a white fortified wine made from the Savagnin grape, typical of Jura, known for its complex aromas and ability to pair with sweet and savory dishes.

Vintage

This cuvée is non-vintage (NV), reflecting a blend of years to achieve balance and consistency in this fortified wine.

Vinification and Aging

Vinification involves partial fermentation of Savagnin must combined with Jura marc, stopping fermentation to retain a high alcohol level of 17°. Aging in oak barrels enhances aromatic development and complexity.
