Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Clos des Réas... 2022
A Centuries-Old Family History
Founded in 1830, Domaine Michel Gros is located in Vosne-Romanée, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. For seven generations, the Gros family has cultivated vines with passion and rigor, passing down unique expertise. Today, Pierre Gros, son of Michel Gros, continues this family tradition while bringing a touch of modernity.
A Vineyard with Prestigious Terroirs
The estate spans 23 hectares, including emblematic plots such as the Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Clos des Réas," a monopole of the family since 1860. The vines are also present in renowned appellations like Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, and Morey-Saint-Denis.
Respectful Viticultural Practices
Concerned about the environment, the Gros family adopts sustainable farming methods, promoting biodiversity and soil health. Harvesting is done manually to preserve the integrity of the grapes, ensuring high-quality wines.
Signature Wines
Among the estate's flagship cuvées:
- Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Clos des Réas": an elegant wine with aromas of red fruits and spices, with a beautiful tannic structure.
- Nuits-Saint-Georges: a powerful and complex wine, offering notes of black fruits and a long finish.
- Chambolle-Musigny: a fine and delicate wine, marked by floral aromas and a silky texture.
