    Estate

    Suntory is one of Japan’s oldest and most prestigious whisky producers, established in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. The house is known for blending Scottish traditions with meticulous Japanese craftsmanship. Suntory played a major role in the global popularity of Japanese whiskies. Today, it owns iconic distilleries such as Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita. Its approach values water purity, diverse casks, and expert blending techniques.

    Vineyard

    Although whisky doesn’t come from traditional vineyards, Suntory carefully selects its cereal sources. Its distilleries are located in pristine environments with outstanding water quality, essential for quality distillation. Yamazaki distillery, near Kyoto, benefits from ideal maturation conditions with high humidity. The Japanese climate speeds up aging compared to Scotland. Suntory uses a variety of malted and unmalted barley depending on the style and complexity aimed for.

    Wine

    This Suntory Non-Vintage (NV) whisky is a balanced and elegant blend representing the Japanese style. Crafted from various malt and grain whiskies, it shows harmony and finesse. Its complexity comes from maturation in American, Spanish, and Japanese oak (mizunara) barrels. The result is a silky whisky with floral, honeyed, and spicy notes. It can be enjoyed neat, with water, or in refined cocktails.

    Vintage

    This non-vintage (NV) whisky is a blend of selected spirits from different years to ensure flavor consistency. The master blender skillfully chooses each component to reflect the house style. Aging time varies across the blend, focusing more on harmony than on vintage expression. The NV character highlights Suntory’s blending craftsmanship. It offers a consistent, high-quality sensory profile across bottles.

    Vinification & Aging

    The whisky is distilled using traditional pot stills for malt and column stills for grain whiskies. It is aged in a variety of casks including American white oak, European sherry, and rare Japanese mizunara. Aging varies between 3 to 12 years depending on the profile. Blending is the final key step to achieving balance and complexity. Quality is ensured at every stage of production.
