A Centuries-Old History
Founded in 1584 by Pierre Gosset, Maison Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne. Initially, Pierre Gosset, then alderman of Aÿ and winemaker, produced still wines, mainly reds, from his own vineyards. In the 18th century, with the emergence of effervescence in the region's wines, the house naturally turned to champagne production.
Preserved Expertise
For over four centuries, Maison Gosset has perpetuated traditional methods in crafting its champagnes. The cuvées are meticulously blended from the region's emblematic grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier. The house is renowned for its distinctive style, marked by remarkable freshness and elegance, resulting from precise vinification and extended cellar aging.
A Historic Estate in Épernay
In 2009, to support its growth, Maison Gosset acquired a historic 2-hectare estate in Épernay. This site includes a classified wooded park and 19th-century cellars extending over 1.7 km. Open to the public since July 2021, the estate offers guided tastings and personalized tours, allowing visitors to discover the house's history and expertise in an enchanting setting.
Signature Cuvées
Among the house's flagship champagnes, the Grande Réserve Brut stands out with its harmonious blend of three grape varieties and multiple vintages, offering aromatic complexity and balanced structure. The Celebris cuvée represents the ultimate expression of Gosset's style, with exceptional finesse and depth, resulting from extended aging and rigorous grape selection.
International Recognition
Through its commitment to quality and tradition, Maison Gosset enjoys worldwide acclaim. Its champagnes are cherished by connoisseurs and featured on prestigious tables across the globe. The house continues to innovate while honoring its heritage, offering cuvées that reflect the excellence and authenticity of Champagne.
