Founded in 1847, the Bérêche & Fils estate is located in Craon de Ludes, on the road to Louvois. For five generations, the Bérêche family has passionately cultivated its vineyards, passing down unique expertise and a constant quest for excellence. Each generation has contributed to the family's heritage, enriching it while respecting Champagne traditions.
The estate spans 9.5 hectares across the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne regions. The vineyards are equally planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, offering a diversity reflected in the complexity of their cuvées. The varied soils, ranging from deep chalk to sandy clays, impart unique characteristics to the grapes, allowing for the creation of rich and balanced champagnes.
Since 2007, under the guidance of Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche, the estate has adopted organic and biodynamic viticultural practices. The use of cover crops and the elimination of herbicides demonstrate a deep commitment to preserving the ecosystem. This approach promotes biodiversity and ensures an authentic expression of the terroir in every bottle.
Among the estate's flagship champagnes, the "Brut Réserve" stands out with its harmonious blend of the three grape varieties, offering aromas of candied lemon, toasted brioche, and a saline finish. The "Reflet d'Antan," crafted using the solera method, showcases remarkable depth and complexity, with notes of dried fruits, honey, and delicate effervescence. These cuvées reflect Bérêche & Fils' commitment to producing characterful champagnes that blend tradition and modernity.
Through meticulous attention to every production stage, from vineyard to cellar, Bérêche & Fils champagnes have garnered worldwide recognition. Critics consistently praise the quality and consistency of their cuvées, making the estate a benchmark for champagne enthusiasts seeking authenticity and excellence.
