Can I choose this cuvée if I'm looking exclusively for a Chardonnay?

The name "Chardonnay Savagnin 'Tradition'" does not make it possible to consider this a Chardonnay alone: the grape varieties section mentions only Savagnin, without specifying the proportions. If you're looking for a Chardonnay, the Côtes du Jura Chardonnay from the same estate is a more clearly identified option.

Does the "Tradition" designation guarantee a particular taste?

You should not infer an aromatic profile from this designation alone. No details about ageing or tasting notes are provided, so it's best not to choose this bottle based on the promise of an oxidative character or specific aromas.

What would be the benefit of tasting it alongside the 2018 Château-Chalon "En Beaumont"?

This comparison would offer a chance to explore two appellations in the Jura through wines from the same estate. However, since the cuvées and vintages are different, you should avoid attributing any differences solely to terroir or age.

For a tasting combining white and red wines, which other bottle from the estate should I compare it with?

The red Côtes du Jura Poulsard would let you keep the same estate and appellation while changing wine colour. This would be a comparison between two expressions of Lambert Frédéric, rather than a tasting designed to isolate the effect of the vintage.

What should I look for when comparing this cuvée with another bottle?

First, look for the full name "Chardonnay Savagnin 'Tradition'", then the 2023 vintage: the Côtes du Jura designation alone is not enough to identify the same cuvée. To assess a difference in style, the information available does not allow tasting notes to be replaced by a conclusion drawn from the name alone.
