Why choose this Chardonnay rather than the "Tradition" 2023 cuvée?

Appearance: Pale yellow with green highlights, clear.
Nose: Delicate aromas of white flowers, citrus, with a mineral touch.
Palate: Crisp attack, saline freshness, pleasant roundness with fruity notes and a slightly lemony finish.

This 2025 vintage is a good choice if you'd like to discover Chardonnay on its own, while the "Tradition" cuvée blends Chardonnay and Savagnin. The vintages are also different, so a comparison would not allow you to attribute the differences to the blend alone.

Should I expect an oxidative character from this Jura Chardonnay?

The region and grape variety alone are not enough to determine this. No information about the aging process or tasting notes is provided for this cuvée, so it should not automatically be assumed to have an oxidative profile.

What does this bottle bring to a Chardonnay tasting?

It lets you include a Côtes du Jura Chardonnay in your selection and explore the grape through the lens of a Jura origin. However, without tasting notes, it's not possible to say how its aromas will differ from those of the other bottles.

How can I include this white wine in an exploration of Lambert Frédéric wines?

You can compare it with the Côtes du Jura Pinot Noir 2024 or the Trousseau 2024 to explore several grape varieties and both colors from Lambert Frédéric. This gives you the chance to discover different cuvées from the estate, but it is not a same-vintage comparison.

What could a comparison with the Côtes du Jura Savagnin 2021 reveal?

It would compare two grape varieties offered separately by the same estate in the same appellation. Since the Chardonnay is from 2025 and the Savagnin from 2021, you should avoid interpreting all the differences as simply the result of the grape variety; the aging methods are not specified either.
