Description of Vin de France Blanc "Janus"

Estate

Domaine de l'Ecu is a well-regarded estate known for its elegant white wines from the Loire Valley. The winery aims to showcase the typical characteristics of the Loire terroir through fresh and balanced wines.

Vineyard

The Loire Valley vineyard enjoys a temperate oceanic climate with moderate continental influence, ideal for Chardonnay cultivation. The plots are planted on clay-limestone soils that contribute finesse and minerality to the grapes.

Wine

This Vin de France white wine is made entirely from Chardonnay. It features aromatic purity and vibrant freshness.

Vintage

The 2024 vintage presented favorable climatic conditions, allowing optimal ripening of the Chardonnay. The wine thus displays a lively and harmonious profile reflecting the Loire terroir.

Vinification and Aging

Vinification is conducted at low temperature to preserve the fresh aromas of Chardonnay. Aging takes place mainly in stainless steel tanks without oak influence, to maintain fruit purity.
