    Estate

    Anne and Jean-François Ganevat are renowned Jura winemakers known for their natural, artisanal approach. Based in the village of Rotalier, they produce distinctive cuvées, often labeled Vin de France outside traditional appellations. The estate practices biodynamic farming and minimal intervention in the cellar. Ancient methods and respect for terroir define their philosophy. Each wine is crafted with attention to detail and authenticity.

    Vineyard

    The grapes come from Jura vineyards, mostly on marl-limestone soils. The vines are farmed organically and biodynamically, without synthetic inputs. Yields are kept low to favor concentration and aromatic precision. The continental climate with cold winters and warm summers brings freshness and complexity. The varied planting gives each cuvée a unique identity.

    Wine

    This red Vin de France is made from Poulsard, a signature grape of Jura. It reflects Jean-François Ganevat’s natural and expressive style. Being non-vintage, it combines several harvests to express continuity and balance. Crafted without filtration or added sulfur, the wine is alive and evolving. It offers remarkable drinkability, light tannins, and aromatic finesse.

    Vintage

    This is a non-vintage (NV) wine assembled from different years to balance ripeness, freshness, and complexity. It allows the winemaker to overcome climatic variation and maintain quality. The non-vintage style is intentional, highlighting the freedom of expression. Resulting blends bring harmony and depth. Each bottle may show subtle differences, reflecting its artisanal nature.

    Vinification & Aging

    Fermentation is natural, using indigenous yeasts and no added inputs. It takes place in old barrels or tanks, depending on the cuvée. Little to no sulfur is used, sometimes a minimal dose at bottling. The wine is aged for several months and is neither fined nor filtered. This process preserves its energy, purity, and character.

    • Appearance: Very pale red, nearly rosé, typical of Poulsard.

    Serve slightly chilled, between 13–15°C. Best decanted to release its aromatic expression.

    Aging

    Enjoy young for its fruity freshness, but can age 2 to 4 years depending on storage.
