How can I include this Graippeaux 2024 in a tasting focused on Chenin?

You can choose it as a point of comparison from the Saumur appellation, then compare it with other Chenins. Keeping the same grape variety allows you to focus the tasting on the differences between the wines without immediately attributing them to the grape variety.

What should I check before comparing this magnum with the 75 cl bottle in the catalogue?

First, check the vintage of the 75 cl bottle: it is not specified in the information provided. The shared cuvée name is therefore not enough to guarantee that you are comparing the effect of bottle size alone.

Is this wine a good choice as a gift for someone who enjoys white wines from the Loire?

Yes, if you know that this person enjoys discovering Chenins from Saumur. This Graippeaux 2024 from the Bodet estate is a good match for that specific interest; however, this does not guarantee that it will suit more detailed taste preferences.

What should I note when tasting this 2024 so I can compare it with another Graippeaux later?

Record the vintage, bottle size and tasting date, along with your impressions of the aromas, freshness, texture and finish. For a clearer comparison, look for the same cuvée in the same bottle size: this will help you avoid confusing several differences.

How should I choose the other wines for a tasting centred on this white Saumur?

For a focused comparison, choose other white Saumur wines made from Chenin. To broaden your discovery, choose Chenins from other appellations in the Loire Valley: you will keep a common thread while exploring a different origin.
